How did you grade the pieces of tamahagane?!? I have seen smiths grade the pieces after forging the raw steel to see which would be used for the inner core,and outer skin. Did you do this, or just hammer all of the pieces into a billet?!?

Pretty great video. I laughed my ass of when u did every other step with traditional methods only to then weld a rebar handle on the billet. Tongs suck no matter what era.

What is the resin you use before applying the charcoal powder?

Nice and good job. All rhe effort put into making it appreciated but the handle's angle is not correct. It should be perpendicular to the blade because in a close quarter fight, the blade is meant to pierce the body between the rib bones in the ribcage .
